The 7 day Vital reset has been a revelation. I didn’t think I could enjoy a week without dairy, gluten and sugar but I have and I have more energy than before! The recipes are delicious and easy to follow, most can be frozen so you have the equivalent of ready meals for later. The fridge was rammed full of veggies and by the end of the week it was nice to see it gone knowing I’d chopped and munched my way through food that tasted good and was good for my body. Vee is always available to answer questions and give ideas which really helps. Being part of a group also encourages you as you get to see what others make and hear how they feel which is reassuring and inspiring. Well worth the investment of time, effort and money. Thank you Vee - this was great. I generally have good skin but I and others noticed after about 6 days that my skin was glowing (just turned 55), I have more energy and I lost about 4/5 pounds. I generally avoid carbs, sugar and caffeine so I was interested to see whether this programme would have much of an effect on me, but it did.

Thank you Vee, that’s the end of the week. I have shifted my sugar/cheese/gluten cravings and am not wanting to go back. I’ve lost some weight. I didn’t weigh myself before starting, but I weighed less than I was expecting when I jumped on the scales yesterday, which is great, shame I can’t give you a total though. So I’ll be keeping going and I’ll be keeping going long term this time as I have done this quite a few times before then gone back to bad habits. I now know bad habits equal arthritis which I clearly don’t want.

Here are some of the typical questions I'm asked about body reset/detoxing/cleansing
Q: Why this particular detox?
A: There are two sides to cleansing - the first is to reduce toxins going into the body and the second is to improve the body's ability to detoxify. There are three main areas in the body that this takes place: the digestive tract, the liver and the immune system, meaning that pretty much the whole body is involved in the process. This programme focuses all three of these. Why? Because the liver is an incredibly important organ in the body, a multi-tasking organ, if you like. As a result, if it's not working to its optimum capacity, this can have a huge effect on our health and overall feeling of well being. The digestive tract (which incidentally would be the size of a tennis court if laid out flat!) is the gateway between the food you eat, your blood stream and the liver, and is actually the first line of detoxification, so keeping it in tip top shape is of utmost importance. In supporting the digestive tract and the liver, the immune system is also boosted by this programme, and the foods that have been chosen have been done so to support all three.
Q: What are the health benefits, and improvements I might experience?
A: There are so many benefits that you can gain from a gentle reset, it's hard to list them all. Plus we are all so unique that different people experience different improvements. But generally speaking, people report that they experience:
Q: Is detoxing safe?
A: This body reset programme is a very gentle but effective form of cleansing, built on sound nutritional principles. It aims to support the liver's natural ability to do it's main job of detoxing the body by removing toxins from the diet and replacing them with the very nutrients it needs for optimum efficiency. This is not a fasting or juice only diet (though juice recipes are included), you will not be starving yourself; in fact by eating this way you shouldn't feel hungry. And you'll be taking in large quantities of the nutrients that are directly beneficial to your body and to your liver.
Q: Is detoxing safe?
A: Yes, it is perfectly safe. There are no forbidden foods in this reset, and whilst it is meat free, there is plenty of protein. You can just increase portion sizes to suit you.
Q: How much time will it take up for food preparation etc?
A: I've made the programme as simple and quick as I can, without compromising on the effects - we all lead busy lives and spending hours in the kitchen is not an option or a desire for the majority... All of the dishes have been chosen for simplicity so that they are not too time intensive or difficult to make, and so that prepping can be done in advance if you wish. Being a Nigella or Jamie is not a pre-requisite!
Q: How will I feel during the programme, e.g. will I get headaches?
A: If you are addicted to caffeine and go cold-turkey whilst following the programme, you may feel worse for a few days, but you'll soon have more energy than ever before, as your blood glucose levels start to stabilise. However, I normally advise heavy caffeine drinkers to reduce caffeine slowly and preferably in advance, to avoid any ill effects, and to start doing this the week prior to the reset, so that they are down to minimum amounts of caffeine by the start, to reap the greatest benefits. All of this is explained in detail within the programme info you'll receive.
You may also get temporary withdrawal symptoms when stopping eating certain foods that you are intolerant to, and often if you are a bit of a sugar junkie, but there are tips I will share on how to minimise this. Remember, this is about getting your body off any intolerance causing and/or addictive foods, for the long term health benefits - it's a chance to break old habits and start afresh.
Q: How expensive is it to purchase the food?
A: There is a shopping list included with each recipe, and I've tried to keep costs down. As there is no meat, this keeps the cost lower, and if you already have a cupboard full of spices and herbs, you won't need to purchase these. But I do ask you to eat organic where possible, and this is obviously more expensive than non-organic foods.
When you consider the latte's, wine and meals out that you won't be consuming, the cost is probably far lower than a normal week for many...
What's more, you are giving your body one huge health hug... There's no price to put on that!
Q: I would like to do the Reset but I don't have Facebook / I can't start on the set date
A: If you don't have Facebook, you can still do the reset, via my website member login, but it will not be supported by me, you will need to follow it on your own.

About me, Vee O'Brien
My true passions and skills lie in helping women to rediscover their true health and happiness, without the need to use drastic diets or medications.
I am a healthy woman in my 40’s, but in my late 20’s and early 30’s I went through a series of health issues, which led me on a journey of self-healing, to self-discovery, and eventually to helping women just like you to feel calm, healthy and happy again. I suffered severe hormonal imbalances from the age of 16, which led to polycystic ovary syndrome. I tried many medical approaches and medications, but could never get rid of the severe PMS, horrendous cramps, low moods and heavy periods.
