The 5-Steps I Use to Help Women Overcome Persistent Fatigue

You've probably already Googled your symptoms, overhauled your diet, cut out alcohol, gone to bed earlier and tried magnesium or iron supplements, or something else that promises to fix you.

And you're not alone.

The women I work with have often spent months - sometimes years - doing exactly that.

They'd cleaned up their diet, tried supplements they'd read about or been advised to take, focused on sleep, spent hours searching for answers online, and many had seen multiple healthcare professionals along the way.

Yet despite all of that effort, they still felt extreme fatigue, persistent exhaustion, brain fog, and so far from their usual selves.

The problem absolutely wasn’t a lack of effort, the problem was that they were receiving fragmented solutions or incorrect advice for what was actually a much more complex and interconnected issue.

What women needed wasn't another supplement recommendation, or a practitioner investigating just their gut health or their hormones. 

They needed a joined-up, whole-body approach.

A clear process that could uncover what was really driving their symptoms and provide a personalised path towards recovery.

And that's why I created the R.E.N.E.W. Method™.

This method draws on my training in Nutritional Therapy, Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis, and functional approaches to fatigue recovery, as well as my experience supporting women with chronic fatigue, CFS/ME, burnout, and related health challenges.

It brings together the tools, knowledge, and processes I have found most effective, into one clear, structured approach.

The R.E.N.E.W. Method™ is the framework I use inside The Fatigue Fix Programme to help women finally understand what is really driving their symptoms.

Rather than chasing symptoms or relying on trial and error, this framework helps us gather meaningful information, identify priorities, and implement a personalised plan based on your body's unique needs.

In this article, I'm going to walk you through each stage of The R.E.N.E.W. Method™ and explain how it helps transform confusion into clarity, creating a structured path towards optimal energy, clearer thinking, and ultimately, what we all want - to feel like yourself again.

What Makes The R.E.N.E.W. Method™ Different?

One of the biggest misconceptions about fatigue is that it's a condition in its own right.

In reality, fatigue is a symptom.

The same is true of brain fog, low mood, poor concentration, disrupted sleep, and feeling unable to cope with daily life in the way you once could.

Even CFS is a cluster of symptoms, labelled. It is not a ‘disease’ in its own right, as symptoms can vary widely and there is not one root cause.

These symptoms can be influenced by many different factors, including mineral imbalances, blood sugar instability, poor nutrient absorption, hormonal changes, digestive issues, viral or bacterial infections, lifestyle factors, chronic stress, and nervous system dysregulation, to name just a few.

That's why a one-size-fits-all approach often falls short.

Advice that works brilliantly for one person may do very little for someone else because their underlying drivers are different.

The R.E.N.E.W. Method™ takes a different approach.

Rather than asking, "What can we do to regain your energy?", we first ask:

"Why is your body no longer able to do the very thing it should be able to do naturally?"

That shift in perspective makes a huge difference. 

Instead of trying to resolve individual symptoms, we focus on understanding the big picture and creating a personalised roadmap that addresses the areas most relevant to you, in (and this is key) the correct order. 

Let's start with the first and arguably most important step...

Step 1: (R)eveal

Finding the Missing Pieces of the Puzzle

When most clients first come to me, they're looking for answers.

They have tried many supplements so they don’t just want another supplement recommendation.

They’ve cut out things that don’t suit them, like dairy or gluten, so they don’t want just another list of foods to avoid (I am not a fan of food intolerance testing because, again, this is a symptom, not a root driving cause). 

They want to finally understand why they feel the way they do.

Because deep down, many of them know that their chronic fatigue or exhaustion isn't normal, even if their GP has told them there’s nothing wrong, and all is normal on their blood test results. 

The Reveal phase of the R.E.N.E.W. Method™ is where we begin uncovering those answers.

Before we can create an effective plan, we need to understand what's really happening beneath the surface. That's why 'Reveal' focuses on gathering meaningful information through Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA), detailed health assessments, food journal analysis, symptom review, and where appropriate, additional blood work.

This stage is about much more than collecting data.

It's about building a complete picture of your health.

Instead of trying to work out how can we get rid of this symptom or that symptom, we're asking a far more crucial question:

"What is preventing your body from producing and maintaining energy in the first place?"

Without understanding the unique factors influencing your health, even what may appear to be good advice can become little more than educated guesswork.

The 'Reveal' phase helps us identify patterns that may otherwise remain hidden. 

Mineral imbalances, heavy metal toxicity, nutrient deficiencies, dietary gaps, chronic stress patterns, blood sugar issues, viral infections (or reactivated viral infections), lifestyle factors, and other potential contributors to fatigue can begin to emerge as part of the much bigger picture.

And this stage also brings something people may have been missing for years.

Validation.

Many have been told that everything looks normal, despite feeling anything but normal.

Seeing their health picture laid out clearly often brings enormous relief because they finally begin to understand why they haven't been feeling like themselves, and that they are not ‘going mad.’ 

And once we have that clarity, we can start moving forward with a clear direction rather than guesswork.

Step 2: Educate

Building the Foundations for Recovery

While your results are being processed, we don't sit and wait.

The 'Educate' phase is where we begin creating the conditions for recovery.

Long-term recovery depends on having strong foundations in place first.

Many women’s bodies are burned out or extremely depleted, so rushing in with supplements, even if they are personalised according to their mineral test, can backfire. 

During this phase, you'll work through the Foundations of Healing curriculum, where you'll gain a deeper understanding of the factors that influence energy, overall health, and ultimate wellbeing.

You’ll explore topics such as digestion and nutrient absorption, drainage and elimination, blood sugar balance, nutrition, minerals, nervous system regulation, detoxification, thyroid health, adrenal health, and hormone health. 

The lessons are delivered through audio training, short videos, downloadable worksheets, and practical cheat sheets that make complex topics easy to understand and apply.

The goal isn't to turn you into a nutrition expert. The goal is to help you understand your body better. 

When clients understand why certain recommendations matter, they're far more likely to implement them consistently and achieve lasting results.

This phase also allows you to start making positive changes before your results even arrive, meaning you're already building momentum and supporting your recovery journey from the very beginning.

By the time we reach the next stage, you'll be starting to have a much stronger understanding of how your body works and what it needs to function at its best.

Step 3: Navigate

Creating Your Personalised Roadmap

Once your results are available, we move into the 'Navigate' phase.

This is where all the information we’ve gathered begins to reveal a clearer picture.

Many of the women I see have spent years collecting pieces of information about their health. What they often lack is clarity.

They've had tests, read books, listened to podcasts, followed expert advice, and tried different approaches, but they're left trying to make sense of it all on their own.

The challenge isn't a lack of information; it's knowing how all the pieces fit together. That's where expert analysis can make all the difference.

The 'Navigate' phase is where I analyse your Hair Mineral Test findings alongside your detailed health history, food journal, symptoms, lifestyle factors, and any additional testing.

Rather than looking at each piece of information in isolation, I'm looking for patterns and connections.

  • How do your symptoms relate to your mineral patterns?

  • What role might stress be playing?

  • Are there nutritional gaps that need attention?

  • Are there any hereditary factors or clues from childhood?

  • Are there lifestyle factors that may be keeping your nervous system stuck in survival mode?

This is where we identify the key factors contributing to your symptoms and prioritise where to focus first.

Instead of feeling overwhelmed by data, you'll gain a clear understanding of what's happening in your body.

Most importantly, you'll leave this phase with a personalised roadmap that prioritises the changes most likely to make a meaningful difference.

Instead of feeling pulled in different directions, you'll have a clear plan based on your body's unique needs.

Step 4: Execute

Turning Insight Into Action

Knowledge is valuable, but knowledge alone doesn't create change.

Action does.

That's why 'Execute' is such an important stage of the R.E.N.E.W. Method™.

By this point, we've gathered the evidence, built strong foundations, and identified the key factors that may be contributing to your symptoms.

Now it's time to put that knowledge into practice.

During the ‘Execute’ phase, you'll receive a personalised nutrition, supplement, and lifestyle plan designed specifically for your needs.

A Real-Life Example: Marie's Story

When Marie first came to me, she had already been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
