👩 These ladies explain how FATIGUE affects them..

Energy is a weird thing, right? It's intangible. We can't see it or touch it. ⁣

And when we have it, we don't give it a second thought...⁣

...but when we lack it, we certainly know about it!⁣

Fatigue or tiredness is one of the most common complaints that GPs hear, especially from women in their 40s and above. And yet, there are really no medical solutions for it.⁣

Here are some examples of what women have told me recently:⁣

"I'm in my early 50s and in senior management, and I've been working long hours and travelling frequently for my job. The constant lack of sleep, and high-stress levels have taken a toll on my energy levels. I often find myself feeling depleted and worn out, struggling to maintain a healthy work-life balance or take care of my well-being."⁣

"I've been struggling with chronic tiredness. I feel like my adrenal glands are not functioning well, I feel drained and exhausted even after a full night of sleep. Along with that, my thyroid levels are out but the meds make no difference. I often feel fatigued and depleted, making it challenging to keep up with my responsibilities and work."⁣

"I'm a working mum in my late 40s, and between my career, my kids and housework and a never-ending to do list, I'm always on the go. I rarely get enough sleep, and the physical demands of my daily routine can be overwhelming. I generally feel drained and exhausted and can't wait to go to bed."⁣

"As a woman in my late 40s, I've noticed that the stress of work, family responsibilities, and personal challenges can leave me feeling emotionally drained and mentally exhausted. It's challenging to balance my mental well-being along with my physical health, and some days I just feel completely worn out."⁣

"I'm in my 50s, and I have been experiencing menopause for a few years now. The hormonal changes, coupled with the hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings, disrupt my sleep, leaving me feeling exhausted during the day. It's a constant battle to manage these symptoms and find ways to boost my energy levels."⁣

As you can see, there are MANY nuances to low energy and MANY underlying causes (which I'll come onto, in detail, next time). ⁣

But there is no 'pill for an ill' when it comes to tiredness, fatigue, or exhaustion. ⁣

Fortunately, there are solutions. If you want to fix your low energy, you HAVE to fix the underlying root causes, whatever they may be.

But have you ever wondered what's causing this unexplained fatigue? ⁣

I mean, even if you eat well and cut out alcohol, it rarely makes a difference, right?⁣

This is the area that I love to work with the most! ⁣

Why? ⁣

Not because it's complex (yes it is, but that's not why). It's because of my own story of exhaustion and fatigue that stopped me from functioning in normal life, and how I recovered within months. ⁣

This experience led me to my mission, to help as many women as possible to, first of all, understand the underlying cause of their fatigue (you can't fix it if you don't know what's causing it!) ⁣

and then to show them how to take back control of their energy levels and feel revitalised and like themselves again.⁣

Is it quick? Sometimes. And sometimes not. That all depends on the root cause.⁣

Is it worth it? Abso-bloody-lutely! You can't underestimate the impact low energy and fatigue have on the rest of your life, your relationships, your work, your kids, and your happiness... ⁣

But let's just be clear on something. Fatigue is not just a symptom; it's a complex state of being with a VARIETY of root causes. ⁣

Here are some common culprits that might be sapping your energy:⁣

Sleep Deprivation:

Poor sleep quality or insufficient sleep can leave you feeling groggy and fatigued throughout the day. Our modern lifestyles, packed with responsibilities and distractions, often lead to sleep deprivation, which can significantly impact energy levels.⁣

So what's the solution? Find out why you can't sleep! And yes, I know, it's not always straightforward, but you have to get to the root cause and start from there. ⁣

Mineral/Nutritional Deficiencies and Imbalances: ⁣

EVERYONE has an element of this, no one has perfect nutrient levels and balance. Whether it is a lack of vitamins such as B Vitamins, especially B6 and B12, an inability to utilise iron or an issue with your sodium/potassium levels and ratios, you cannot, and I repeat CANNOT improve your energy production if you don't look into this area properly. ⁣

Does it mean just take a multivitamin, or neck some B12? Well, unfortunately, NO. You have to know what you are personally lacking, and understand why that is (it's not often just a lack of it in your diet), and work from there. ⁣

Stress and Anxiety: ⁣

Mental/emotional and physical stress can all take a toll on your body, leading to fatigue. Chronic stress and anxiety disrupt your body's natural energy balance and can leave you feeling drained. ⁣

This is why I love mineral testing because it will highlight adrenal health, and what type of adrenal dysfunction you have (ie. the stage of stress you have been out for the past 2 to 3 months). The approach to correct this is different, dependent on this alone. ⁣

Thyroid System issues:⁣

Notice I underline the word system because your thyroid isn't just the gland that produces thyroid hormone. There's MUCH more to it than that. And you would be very surprised to understand just how many women over 40 have an issue with this system, meaning slowed metabolism and thus low energy. ⁣

This is where I often help women to finally realise why they are tired, can't lose weight, and struggle with other symptoms, despite being told by their GP that their thyroid is 'normal!' Let's just say, we have a thyroid epidemic and it is constantly being missed!

How This Lady Became a NEW Person!

This week I've talked a lot about energy, energy production, and why we lose it so often after 40. ⁣

Now I want to share with you a real-life client who came to me with a host of symptoms including exhaustion.⁣

Simone is a hairdresser and works long hours. By the time we started working together inside the ReVitalise Method, she was struggling big time. ⁣
